For female-identifying and non binary people ages 18+ to get outdoors and explore nature under the full moon, with other adults.
Program for children ages 3-5 who are potty-trained. Children spend time connecting with and learning about our local natural environment as well as getting used to group dynamics and following instructions.
The Bellingham Public Library has partnered with the Whatcom Museum, the Spark Museum of Electrical Invention, and Mindport Exhibits to offer complimentary general admission to each museum. A Museum Pass allows free entry for up to 4 people, valid for use on the date and at the museum selected when registering. Each family is eligible for a pass for each museum every 60 days. Register online using the library calendar of events.
An affinity program developed by, and for, adult members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community to get outdoors, explore nature, and foster community.
Max Higbee Center members are paired with a Community Engagement provider to receive one-on-one support to introduce community resources and create lasting relationships, develop goals and strategies, and learn skills that will facilitate integration into the community. This program is contracted through DDA and must be approved by your case manager prior to program start.

A cohort-style outdoor education program for youth in grades 2 - 12. Outings focus on developing naturalist knowledge, cultivating leadership skills, and creating lasting connections to nature and community.
Adaptive riding lessons are taught by PATH International certified instructors. Lesson plans take into account the participant's physical, emotional, and mental strengths and limitations. Classes include arena riding, trail rides, and group activities.

Max Higbee Center members are paired with a Recreation Leader to receive one-on-one support to create an individualized, goal-oriented and community-based recreation experience. This service is highly flexible and allows for people to schedule sessions that are tailored and designed based on short-term and long-term goals.

Summer camp programs for grades 1-8. Activities include all-day outdoor adventures, mentor-facilitated learning and discovery, and wilderness skills development.
Community center for seniors 50+ years of age to come together on Monday mornings to enjoy good company and activities. Activities may include Wii bowling, puzzles, pool, cards, and conversation.
Local youth development clubs to grow physical, mental, and emotional health. Clubs participate in a wide variety of activities, often focused on nature, farming, science, and culture.
Partnership between CBC and Shifting Gears for weekly all women sunset paddle.
Programs include hiking and walking groups, fitness classes, health services, writing and discussion groups, artistic opportunities, card games, music and dance, recreation, senior community meals, and more.

Provides merit-based summer scholarships to middle and high school public school students in Whatcom County. Students may apply for summer enrichment camps in a variety of areas such as music, science, art, debate, technology, dance, leadership and many others.
Weekly casual paddle along Bellingham waterfront catering to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
An opportunity for members to have a fun weekend with friends while having a night on the town. Activities include Art Walk, evening strolls, in-house games and activities, and a fun place to hang out with friends.

Offers a variety of activities and program for seniors aligned with interests of the local population. Serves lunch on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Tuesday evening meditation in-person or via Zoom. In -person entrance is from 6:30-6:55pm, and the zoom room opens at 6:45. Meditation is from 7:00 to 7:45; followed by a short reading, introductions and announcements.
Free community paddling session for all ages and abilities. Paddle partners and adaptive equipment are provided to increase accessibility.
