Designed to help both parents and children, PCIT is an intensive treatment program that works with parents and children together to improve the quality of the parent-child relationship and to teach parents the skills necessary to manage their child's severe behavior problems. PCIT is appropriate for children who are between the ages of 2 and 7 and exhibit certain behavioral concerns.
A faith-based transitional living facility for homeless women and children who may be struggling from addiction, domestic violence, human trafficking, or a crisis pregnancy. Services include safe clean rooms and warm beds, 24 hour support staff, services for pregnant women, weekly case management, life skills classes, access to community resources, help with finding permanent housing, options for employment and continuing education, and more.

Program for children ages 3-5 who are potty-trained. Children spend time connecting with and learning about our local natural environment as well as getting used to group dynamics and following instructions.
Serves children ages 3 through 5 who have a disability as well as students who do not have a disability (peer models). Students who qualify for Special Education services are enrolled and served as they turn 3 years of age. Children who do not qualify for Special Education services but who are ages 3 to 5 may apply to be enrolled.
Families with young children who are experiencing homelessness can get help finding child care at no cost to them for up to 12 months. Child care offers young children experiencing homelessness a safe place to play and learn, healthy food and a chance to make friends.

Sends an age-appropriate book each month to all registered children in Whatcom County. All Whatcom County children aged zero to five are eligible for this free program.
The Bellingham Public Library has partnered with the Whatcom Museum, the Spark Museum of Electrical Invention, and Mindport Exhibits to offer complimentary general admission to each museum. A Museum Pass allows free entry for up to 4 people, valid for use on the date and at the museum selected when registering. Each family is eligible for a pass for each museum every 60 days. 4-week summer day program for elementary school-age children who have experienced difficult life circumstances and exhibit emotional and behavioral issues as a result. Camp includes outdoor recreational and physical fitness-related activities, music and arts enrichment, daily off-site field trips, and small group conversations that encourage and support positive coping skills and self-management.
Early childhood preschool programs provide a language-based curriculum to students ages 3-4 who have been identified with developmental delays and qualify for special education services. Programs provide direct, integrated, and/or consultative services to students with mild to moderate disabilities in general education. Contact your school district to apply.

Pediatric Occupational Therapists (OTs) are practitioners who deliver skilled occupational therapy services to children. They help children participate in their daily occupations, or everyday activities including anything from being able to ride the school bus to getting ready for bed at night. Kids in Motion offers both Center-Based or Home-Based care.
WIC is a supplemental food and nutrition/breastfeeding education program that helps pregnant women, new mothers and young children eat well, learn about nutrition and breastfeeding, and stay healthy.

A holiday gift assistance program for families living in the Blaine School District who are facing difficult financial circumstances. Gifts are arranged in a store-like setting where parents can purchase brand new, unwrapped toys marked down about 75%. Voucher assistance is available for families needing extra help.
